This telephone wire basket uses as its mold a tin of tuna. 10cm diameter x 4cm deep.
Senzokule Project
Senzokule is located in the South African province of Kwazulu Natal and has about 600 weavers contributing to the project.. The basket is started by wrapping the wires around the rim. The technique allows you to weave either clockwise or anti-clockwise or a combination of the two. In this way patterns are formed, always being a variation of spirals. Once complete the basket is untied from the form and the form can be reused.
