Usisi Design celebrates the skill and creativity of South African women. It means “sisters” in Zulu. In Zulu culture, craft work has been taught and handed down from the oldest to the youngest for generations. Inspiration for new designs is derived from the patterns and techniques of traditional beadwork. They also crochet with copper wire and beads. Each product is designed by a product developer and meticulously made by hand by a group of over 35 women.
